From Brief Encounters
B+ from Ruby: Details bring San Francisco vividly to life, yet are deftly fitted between the dialogue so you never find the description intrusive. Another aspect that's just as strong are the fun sex scenes, that Roman skilfully integrates within the plot. It has a touching and sexy romance between two likable leads and the setting is vividly realised.

From Blackravens Reviews
3.5 Ravens from Barb Manning: Kate Roman weaves a tale of dissolution among the nobility and the courage of two young men determined to develop a life for themselves. A-Hunting We Will Go is a nice little Sip of 28 pages that is worthy of 3.5 stars due the caliber of Ms. Roman's writing. Her stories are always enjoyable.
From Miz Love and Crew Love Books
Lip-lickingly Enjoyable 4 out of 5: Verdict: An excellent "thinking" book, making you question yourself -- and possibly not coming up with the answer you thought you'd choose when you first started reading.
From Queer Magazine Online
Serena says: Although this is only a short historical read, the characters come alive and their circumstances are clear as they struggle to remain together. I liked the simplicity of the story, the love between the two men and their willingness to risk everything so they can be together spoke to my inner romantic. If you like historical stories and happy endings, you will probably like this one.

From Booked Up
4 stars from BlackTulip: Just like an appetizer, it gives you a taste of what could have been ... and you definitely want MORE of it. But I cannot deny the fact that I loved every words of it.
The author definitely has a way with descriptions. The sex scene is very skillfully built and very erotic at first and then becomes more graphic as it goes on but it is never in bad taste.
It is well written and well researched... I will definitely look for any other work by Kate Roman hoping that it will be much longer.

From Brief Encounters
B+ from Ruby: Chainbreaker is a delightful slice of life story. Normally I'm not so keen on romances where there's no conflict between the lovers, but this time it really worked for me. In part this is down to the strength of the writing, but I think it's mainly the characters. While both young men are clearly very nice guys, they also felt utterly real. Their teasing banter is cute without ever being sugary -- a fine line to walk but Kate Roman makes it look effortless.
This is one of those stories that made me feel warm and fuzzy inside, while giving a fascinating portrait of a vibrant city. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a story that's low on the conflict, but high on the love quotient.

From Coffee Time Romance
Delane says: Kate Roman is an expert at evoking emotions in her readers and truly has mastered the ability. Reading The One Who Comes In The Night was such a beautiful experience that I would share with all readers.
